Leo:

Virgo:

Virgo is representation of innocent girl Astraea. When Pandora opened the jar and sent evils on the earth, all the gods who were living on the earth hurried back to the heaven. Astraea was little girl who had lost her way back and came at last. Zeus has placed Virgo in memory of this girl.

Libra:

Libra represents the scales of justice. It was held by goddess of justice, Themis.

Scorpio:

Scorpio represents the story of Orion. Orion was allowed to go hunting with Artemis, which made her brother Apollo jealous of him. He begged Gaea to create a giant scorpion to kill Orion. He completed his wish and that scorpion killed Orion. To remember this story Zeus put Orion and scorpion in stars.

Sagittarius:

Sagittarius represents the courageous Centaur named Cheiron. He was friend of Heracles; once while hunting Heracles injured Cheiron’s leg with his poisonous arrow. Heracles promised him to help and left him to find any cure. While on his way he found Prometheus who was trapped badly and only way to free him was to take his place. Cheiron was suffering from unbearable pain who ten took his place and died. Zeus placed the centaur in the memory of Cheiron.

Capricorn:

Capricorn symbolizes the goat Amalthea. She found infant Zeus and fed him her milk. As a repayment Zeus placed her in the stars. She also represents the goddess of nature.

Aquarius:

It is said that when all the evil came down to earth, Zeus pour all the water from heaven to flush away all of them. Duecalion and Pyrrha then stopped the flow of water by throwing stones in water and started new life of man. This story is represented by Aquarius sign.

Pisces:

Pisces symbolizes two fishes. One represents goddess of beauty Aphrodite while one represents god of love Eros. Once they both were roaming around the river when they met with dangerous Typhon. They begged Zeus for helping them to escape from this situation. He turned them into fishes and they ran away.

How zodiac signs are created:

Zodiac is divided into 12 signs, 30 degrees for each completing circle of 360 degrees. Zodiac signs start with Aries and ends with Pisces. Zodiac starts with Sun in first day of spring.
